Rotary Club of Gonzales and the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce presents:
The 2007 CANNON EXPRESS TOUR Bicycle Ride
Ride the Cannon Express . . .
Welcome to historic Gonzales, where the first shot was fired in the fight for Texas independence.
Come enjoy our rich heritage and the beautiful landscapes found where the Guadalupe and San Marcos
rivers meet. Rolling hills, oak-strewn fields and winding rivers serve as the backdrop for this unique family ride.
Choose from the metric century ride for experienced cyclists or the short and intermediate
10-, 30-, and 36-mile tours. You'll find clearly marked routes, ample rest stops stocked with refreshment, and plenty
of spotters to provide first aid and mechanical support. And, the proceeds benefit the projects of the
Rotary Club of Gonzales.
The Cannon Express Tour serves as a great training ride for the upcoming MS-150 Bike to the Beach.
After the ride, enjoy a complimentary BBQ and live music under the shade of a giant oak!
In addition to its motels and campgrounds, Gonzales boasts numerous Victorian mansions that offer
Bed-and-Breakfast lodging. Dine at one of our many new restuarants or cafes.
So, come join us for the CANNON EXPRESS TOUR - it's 65 miles of pure family fun!
